Day 47 - Feburary 27, 2009

Thank you, Lord, that I didn't have to go to Kentucky. It would have been far more than my psyche could have handled. I am completely fine that I got left behind in cold weather and had to work all week.

Aside from a military graduation, the highlight of the trip was General Patton's museum. First and foremost, let me make it clear that I am not a good museum person. On the whole, I'm not interested. But I'm REALLY not interested in FIVE hours of this: In fact, I'm not interested in five minutes of that. At all. My poor sister-in-law. She had to endure it. I asked how she handled it, and the response I got was: "Well, she busied herself taking pictures." Of course she did. Because the alternative was chewing her arm off! Good grief.

I have to endure a trip to the USS Intrepid while I'm in New York. I'm looking as forward to that as I think Slade is the Broadway show. The Intrepid was the carrier my father-in-law was on during Vietnam. I lived through a trip to the USS Constitution when I was an 8th grader. I'll probably live through this too, but I want you all to know that if I'm touring it when another plane goes down in the Hudson and blows us all up - - I didn't die doing what I loved.
